Hope you are all well. I'm happy to announce that we have another follow-up industry event for Ph.D students in imaging at Berkeley. I am currently interning at Insitro as part of the Advanced Imaging Modalities team, and am excited to host the Women in Imaging community for an office/lab tour! I really think you will be inspired by the scale of the imaging efforts and the people working here. Hope you can join!
Insitro is a drug discovery startup that utilizes machine learning and wet lab biology to accelerate preclinical drug development for hard to treat diseases. It is a fast-growing (230+ employees) South San Francisco biotech company founded by Stanford machine learning professor Daphne Koller. Imaging is a core part of insitro's technology platform and acts as the bridge between the wet lab (bio, chem) and dry labs (DS/ML) at the company.
Date/Time: Tuesday August 1st, 2023 from 10 am - 2 pm (please plan to attend the entire time). Lunch will be served.
Participants: Ph.D students and post-docs in imaging related fields (microscopy, medical imaging, computer vision, etc) across all departments (MCB, EECS, Physics, etc). Students of all genders & gender-identities are welcome.
Transportation: We are working on obtaining funds to pay for Ubers to/from insitro or will use BART/carpool to the location.
Hope to see you all there!
Best,
Neerja
