Friends,

I've just released version 2026.3.3 of Photini.

This fixes some more problems with "address" tab context menu cut &
paste and PySide6 compatibility.

I apologise for the recent flood of inadequately tested releases and
hope to resume normal service soon.

As always, please let me know if you find any more problems.

Jim,
when I installed the newest version (which does now save the coordinate based address), but if you delete the extra tab (which I had) that delete also cancels the previous tab. Version 2025.10.0 does not do that; it deletes only the selected tab.

While testing the Version 2026.3.3 after installing (using the python command),
I got a message to the command line that had a python error message between 'No module named  'requests_oauthlib' etc.

(photini) C:\Users\heikk\python -m photini
ffmpeg or ffprobe not found
No module named 'enchant'
No module named 'gpxpy'
C:\Users\heikk\photini\Lib\site-packages\requests\__init__.py:113: RequestsDependencyWarning: urllib3 (2.6.3) or chardet (7.2.0)/charset_normalizer (3.4.6) doesn't match a supported version!
  warnings.warn(

No module named 'requests_toolbelt'

By "extra tab" do you mean the empty placeholder tab that's there for
you to add a new address?

How are you attempting to delete it?
1 - The 'All "Address" data' context menu - deletes all addresses.
2 - The 'All "subject" addresses' context menu - deletes 'subject'
addresses but not 'camera' address.
3 - The 'All "subject 2" address data' context menu - deletes one
address only, cannot delete an empty placeholder tab.

You get one of these three depending on where you right-click. The
context menu header is vital to know which you are doing, which is why I
was so annoyed that it wasn't shown in some styles. Hopefully that's
fixed now.

These are optional dependencies used by the various "uploader" tabs. If
you don't need the uploaders then you don't need to worry about the
messages.

OK.
Probably I did not think about it and assumed behaviour "similar" to older versions. Once I know how things work it does not bother me at all.

The important point to me is to be able to add the address if needed from coordinates.
I have photos taken from the same location (although coordinates change a little). As an example is the Cathedral of Santa Maria dei FIori and its (square) piazza, which depending on which side you are has a different address (even a postcode sometimes), so I usually decide to given the same address, but keep the coordinates as they are found or recorded.

Ahem. I've now released version 2026.3.4.

This fixes a problem with image regions containing Apple face
information metadata. It had been fixed in 2025.10.0, but recent changes
reintroduced the problem.

If you haven't experienced that particular problem then there's no need
to upgrade from 2026.3.3.
