Friends,

I've just released version 2022.5.0 of Photini.

The most obvious change is the new "LangAlt" widget for some fields.
This allows you to set alternative language translations of the field.
As a typically monolingual Englishman I don't have much use for this,
but I hope some of you will find it useful.

The next most obvious change is a new "headline" field. Previously any
headline data in a file was merged into the title. Now it's kept
separate, which is more standards compliant.

Lastly, you can now open all the files in a directory by dragging it to
the image list area or giving it as a command line parameter. This is
recursive, so beware of trying to open all your picture files in one go
by opening ~/Pictures or similar.

Jim,

thanks. I definitely will use it after 4 month of traveling to Romania/Dobruja.
After this time it will be available on the Tumbleweed repo.

Greetings
Heinz

I forgot to mention that Photini v2022.5.0 requires python-exiv2 v0.11.0
or later. The python-exiv2 PyPI package has been renamed, so the safest
upgrade path is to uninstall the old one before installing the new one:

pip uninstall python-exiv2
pip install exiv2
