Specifying a folder hierarchy in foldertemplate

Looks like a great utility - am about to start using but given the size of my library (60 some odd thousand images) I have normally organized the folder structure by first specifying year.  My structure looks like  {yyyy}/{event name} 

Is there some core reason foldertemplate doesn't support path separators as a way of specifying a folder hierarchy to create/sync?  I'd LOVE this feature.  Even looked at the code to see if it would be simple but I'm no python expert...

No core reason. Most of it is actually already there - if you name an event "2007/My vacation", it will create a folder "My vacation" in "2007".
