Tilman,

I have iPhoto 9.4.2. I upgraded to Phoshare 1.5.2. I don't think I ran Phoshare since upgrading to iPhoto 9.4, but I could have, if that matters.

Before running for "real" I tried a Dry Run. I have Folder Hints checked and have hints in some event descriptions like "@Cemetery". Phoshare appears to not be using the "@Cemetery". For example Phoshare output shows "..path/path/2007-02-09 Blackwater Methodist Cemetery" when I would have expected "..path/path/Cemetery/2007-02-09 Blackwater Methodist Cemetery".

In fact, it appears to want to delete my existing "folder hint" folders and replace them without this extra folder level.

Is there an issue with using Folder Hints or is this just with how the output appears with the Dry Run option? I don't recall seeing this raised as an issue before.

First, if you are using iPhoto 9.4.2, you really want to switch to Phoshare 1.6.0.
Second, folder descriptions is another piece of metadata that is no longer exported by iPhoto. That means folder hints in Phoshare are no longer possible. That leaves you with two options:
- If you have Aperture, use it to organize your events into folders. Even if you go back to iPhoto, that organization is then kept in iPhoto, too. And Phoshare will use it.
- Prefix your event names with the folder name, e.g. call your event "Cemetery/2007-02-09 Blackwater Methodist Cemetery".

Where is Phoshare 1.6.0? I cant find it. I have issues with it not exporting all images as discussed in a previous discussion so would like to try the latest version.
Thanks

Never mind, I got confused about the version numbers. 1.5.2 is the right version for iPhoto 9.4.
