"Use file links" does not work

Hi there,

I tried to use Phoshare to get all the GPS data into my originals stored in iPhoto.

To be correct: They are only handled by iPhoto but stored in folders outside iPhoto.

Thus I used the "Use file links" option. Unfortunately Phoshare 1.5.2 copies all pictures

instead of modifying the originals. Phoshare 1.4.7 does the same.

I have updated to iPhoto 9.4.2 by mistake and am trying to get rid of iPhoto altogether now.

Do you have any idea what went wrong?

Are you sure it isn't making links? You can't actually tell from just looking at the exported file, other than watching available disk space before and after the export. For it to work, both the image and the exported location must be on the same drive.

During the export, does Phoshare say "(link)" or "(copy)" at the end of each line? If the lines end with "(link)", then you are good.
