I've got an iPhoto library with around 20k photos in it which I got Phoshare to export. I checked the 'Export originals' option, which it's done, but they're not always the correct originals: my main camera is a Nikon and it names the photos DSC_wxyz.jpg (where wxyz is e.g. 1234). What I'm seeing is that in a lot of cases the image in the Originals directory has the correct name, but it actually a different photo with the same name. It seems to get the image wrong about 50% of the time, from looking at a few dozen images.

Is this a known problem? I'm running iPhoto 11 (version 9.4.2) if that makes a difference.

That is possible. Aperture, and now iPhoto 9.4, now longer shares information about the location of the original files. Phoshare tries to find the original file anyway, based on the file name. If you have images with identical names, I can see how that can go wrong. This feature is also limited to .jpg originals only.

Did you finally find a solution?
I'm stuck in the process of exporting 40.000+ photos and the wrong originals is really a problem.

Maybe i need to completely drop the originals folders - although i believe it would be possible to find the right picture by comparing certain exif data (maybe date/time picture taken) - but scripting this might be quite complex...
