Hi there,

I'm finding that use Phoshare 1.47 with Aperture 3.3.2 doesn't work with video files if they are referenced masters i.e. they are on another drive. I think all that's being copied is some sort of link. Is this a know problem and if so, are there any plans to fix it?

Thanks
PhilB

Hello,  I have not used phoshare, but I love what I hear!!!

I have looked around for an straight answer and was not satisfied. So here goes...

What happens exactly when you use photshare with a referenced Aperture library?  What I would like to see (fingers crossed) is that when I choose the copy mode, photshare will copy all the referenced masters I have in Aperture (that our located on an external drive) to the location I specify. (obviously not the videos as in the post bellow, any progress on that?)

I would also like to make sure I know what happens to the referenced aperture previews,( if anything) and what happens exactly to the referenced masters on my external hdd when phoshare syncs.

Thanks you very much in advance for you your detailed in answer.  I really appreciate it.

Cheers,

yaz

Why don't you just give it a try? Unless you use the option "Use file links", Phoshare will not modify any of the files in the library.

Also, with Aperture (and now also iPhoto 9.4), you can only export the previews, not the masters.
