There are not many user-serviceable parts for the Autophoroptor.
However, sometimes parts fall off the exterior, and need to be replaced.
Marco sent me this parts list, so I could find part numbers for some items.
So far there are 43 Autophoroptors in the HMO where I do optical maintenance.
There are also over 130 standard (Reichert) phoroptors in the system.
Some Optometry exam rooms have two phoroptor arms, with the Autophoroptor on the top arm.
And a manual phoroptor on the arm, right below it.
That way, if the refraction is not working out well with the Autophoroptor,
the doctor can switch to the regular phoroptor, without having to change equipment on the stand.
Retinoscopy, for example, seems easier to do with the regular (manual) phoroptor.
None of the Ophthalmologists in our HMO use Autophoroptors. Most use plus cylinder Reichert phoroptors.
