Apart from Dreamweaver, are there any other simple WYSIWYG tools to develop Cordova apps ?

Curious to know if there are some GUI tools, that permit one to compose the application UI in a drag-n-drop WYSIWYG manner ?
Admittedly, I have never created a Cordova / Phonegap app, but have used MIT AI2 and also used Android SDK to write some small hobby apps.

thanks,
BD

I think monaca and telerik have a WYSIWYG on their sites for building apps using their platforms.

Ionic is working on an online WYSIWYG editor. Google search results say "coming Summer 2014" (although the Creator homepage doesn't say that).

You can sign up for the beta here: http://ionicframework.com/creator/

It'd be optimized for their framework, of course, but I'm a big fan of the framework so that's not a problem for me :)

If you haven't checked out the Framework, which is a cool mashup of Cordova + Angular + their own UI library and some Javascript tweaks, you should.

You mean a tool like this: https://codiqa.com/
This will help you design an HTML5 site, which you'll then use Cordova to create the app.

Heh, I didn't even consider tools like that when replying yesterday. I have started using Webflow, it was suggested by a friend, and it is awesome too. www.webflow.com

You might want to take a look at Microsoft's Visual Studio 2013.  With the Update 4 package, and the new Tools for Apache Cordova, you can create PhoneGap apps for iOS, Android, Windows Phone 8 and Windows Store (Metro apps).  VS, using Cordova CLI, will build, debug, and package apps for all platforms (of course, you need a Mac for the iOS packages and testing, but that can be a iMac, Macbook, or Mac Mini on your network, or like me, use a Macbook with Parallels to run Visual Studio in a Windows VM).

And its free.  Visual Studio Community edition is Visual Studio Pro, but free (for non-commercial use or commercial use less than 5 developers).
