Any samples, templates, tutorials about location

Hi alL,

I am looking for any application that will help me designing an
application that will allow a smartphone user finding places from the
location who he/she is located. Something similar to the function
"Search Nearby" in map.google but that I can customize to a specific
sector.

Let's say that a person works on the medical sector, and wants to find
anything related to this market in a specific location.

I'm waiting approval from the appstore for my app "brizinga!" , you can have a look at www.brizinga.com.

I used jquery-map-ui plugin.
