PhoneGap 1.9.0 BlackBerry Sample Not Building

Hi,

There seems to be a problem with the 1.9.0 BlackBerry sample. The 1.8.1 sample is fine. It builds and installs, no problem.

I get, when I try to Ant build the 1.9.0 sample:

generate-cod-name:

     [echo] Generated name: __NAME__.cod

...

      [zip] Building zip: /Users/applejacko/Documents/MobileApp/BlackBerry/localSVN/sample190/build/__NAME__.zip

Something's amiss with one of the Ant or other XML files or something, with some string substitution, I'm guessing. I'm doing the same thing in each sample:

• Copying the sample directory off somewhere else
• Changing project.properties blackberry.bbwp.dir to point at my smartphone SDK
• Typing "ant blackberry build"

so I don't think it's pilot error...

You can just change the __NAME__ text in config.xml. If you use the new create script in replaces the text for you.

Drew,

The old 1.8.1 version just required "ant blackberry build" and "ant blackberry load-device" to build and run. Worked like a charm. I thought the __NAME__ issue was a string substitution error, but now I see the two config.xml files differ from one another. 

Where is the "create script" to which you refer? I searched the sample folder for "create" and I don't see it. What's it called??

The new create script is in lib/blackberry/bin from the full phonegap
download. You can use it to create a new sample project or you can
just copy the sample folder. If you copy the sample folder you'll need
to replace the "__NAME__" string in config.xml with your desired
application name.

If you copied the sample project it is in the www folder.
