Couldn't you just take the text of the QR code, and when you want to redraw it, make the QR from scratch

I am trying to write an app that will scan a QR code (or encode one) and then allow me to draw/render the image of the QR code in whatever way I choose.  So ideally I would like to get an array of pixels that make up a QR code.  Is there a way to get that information from BarcodeScanner or another library?

Sure, but what's the best procedure to do that?  BarcodeScanner looks like it just generates and displays the QR image for you if you try and encode some text.  I want to intercept it before it renders the image so I can take control from there.

Am I misunderstanding the intent of BarcodeScanner?  Should I just use something like zxing instead?

I think they didn't enable this in the plugin. as far I know the plugin is build on zxing. (and it doesn't work on iPhone)

You could use a online service to do it, and manipulate the output, or you need to extend or build your own plugin
