How to count all numbers saved in the phone

Hello.

I'm writing an cordova app which counts all contacts in the phone (there is no problem) an all numbers saved in the phone. that is my problem, i don't have any idea.

in the first part i'd like to send an alert "there are XX contacts and XX numbers". than i'll go on working with this two "numbers".

do you have a solution?
