com.android.ddmlib.InstallException error

I get the following message when trying to deploy to the Android
emulator. The framework states installing my app is a success then
then states a failure. Any suggestions how to proceed? I'm on 64bit
Ubuntu Natty with latest Android SDK (I can see the Android emulator
window appear with the emulator gui fine).

You can try doing:

adb install -r programname.apk

From the command line if eclipse install is failing.
