Hi,
i am working on an application where i need to intercept the
incoming calls and send an auto-response back to the caller in
android, bb and iphone. It means using HTML5/PhoneGap i want to block
the incoming call and send a auto-response back to the caller.

1) If using HTML5, can we catch the event when the incoming calls
comes and the application should respond back to the caller.

2) If using PhoneGap the above mentioned feature is possible?

Thanks,

Impossible on iPhone -- there's no way, short of using either private apis or being jailbroken, that permits this kind of behaviour. Further, the appstore wouldn't let the app in to begin with. Likely nearly impossible with the other devices as well, short of doing some hackery with private apis.

Maybe with Android (plugin). No for iOS. Wouldn't count on it with any other platform.

Seriously -- this is a bad idea. You run the risk of preventing the user of the phone from becoming aware of very important situations (like someone needs help, is hurt, dying, dead, etc.). I can think of very few (no, strike that: none) situations where this would be acceptable behavior on the part of an app on my phone. Put it this way, it would be immediately uninstalled.

Were you able to intercept incoming call and send message back to the caller?

If you were able to, then can you give some idea, how did you execute that.
