Hi group,

I'm new to phonegap and have a big problem. My app (at the moment very
simple html with a small database) crashes on one device (my iPhone 3g
with ios 4.0) and it is ok at all other devices (iPod Touch 3.1.2 and
4.0 and iPhone 2g with 3.1.2 all iPhones Jailbroken, ipod not
jailbroken) and it's ok in iphone simulator.
My app crashes as WebApp (startet from icon on homescreen) and it
crashes as native app with phonegap. All ok as website.
I got the message
could not load inserted library: /Library/MobileSubstrate/
MobileSubstrate.dylib
I looked with ssh, the file is in its place.

My problem is I want this app for ME not for any other device. But on
my device it crashes.

Hope you understand my problem, sorry for poor english.

Thanks,Anna.

I found that my error only when in header:

<meta name="apple-mobile-web-app-capable" content="yes" />

I'm seeing this as well with any webapp that declares that meta tag.
It's probably a bug in MobileSubstrate, someone should contact the
developers ASAP and let them know so that they can look into it and
find some kind of workaround or a fix.

This is not a bug in MobileSubstrate; this is, in fact, a bug in the
jailbreak tool that was used, and was fixed in later versions of
redsn0w and PwnageTool (and has certainly been fixed for the new
jailbreakme.com). I realize that it seems simple to blame
MobileSubstrate when it tends to show up in every stack trace and
every message log for every single thing that happens on jailbroken
devices (as it is kind of the point of jailbreaking), but there has
only ever been a single program that has ever conflicted with
MobileSubstrate itself, and that's Skype (which is using a DRM that
isn't even App Store legal and seems to be damaging dyld somehow). -J

Hi Jay,

I noticed the same. But it was very crazy that other iPhones (with
Jailbreak) had no problem.
And it was exactly the same Jailbreak.
Thanks for your post.
