I'm trying to build my first iOS app with PhoneGap Build. I had no problems generating the proper provisioning files and certificates for testing but am getting the following errors when trying to send the app to Apple via Application Loader for review. The errors are:

Application failed codesign verification. The signature was invalid, contains disallowed entitlements, or it was not signed with an iPhone Distribution Certificate

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Unable to extract entitlements from application: /var/folders/.....

My keychain shows an iPhone Distribution Certificate, with a private key. I did try deleting the certificate and re-generating it. Didn't help.

Here is my config.xml:
<widget xmlns = "http://www.w3.org/ns/widgets"
       xmlns:gap = "http://phonegap.com/ns/1.0"
       id        = "com.castle36.GreatGatsby"
       versionCode="10"
       version   = "1.0">

In the iOS Provisioning Portal, there is the following App ID:
Castle36
XXXXXXXX.com.castle36.GreatGatsby

In Provisioning, the Distribution tab has the following Distribution Provisioning Profile:

Castle App Store Distribution Profile

method: App Store

Distribution Certificate is set to the name of my distribution certificate

App ID: Castle36

Can someone spot anything wrong with these?
Or offer some advise on how to debug this? We're anxious to publish our first PhoneGap-built app but I can't seem to be able to get past this provisioning problem.
Thanks,
-Stephen

the TN2250 document seems to assume that Xcode is being used to generate the application, but I'm using PhoneGap build which creates the ipa file. I've never used Xcode (this is my first attempt at building an Apple application). Is it possible to import an ipa file into an Xcode project so I can try some of these suggestions?

I think you'll have to use the Xcode. I found no other way for myself.
By the way, I'm still in process of figuring out how to build it there :)
