Can a hybrid iphone app get accepted to the app store?

what are the limitations of the app getting accepted to the iphone app
store if i done use objective c?

I want to use css, html, javascript, etc and not objective c.

i hope it is possible.

From want I've heard. It's a roll of the dice. That is the way with
the app store in general.

There was a time when Apple rejected every app that contained the word
"PhoneGap" and you can find instructions on the website of PhoneGap
how to rename everything in your project.
But I think Apple and PhoneGap talked, and this restriction is not
policy anymore (although I am not entirely certain about that, because
no one has reported in this mailing list that he/she submitted an
unrenamed app). To find out you could try to submit unaltered, it will
cost you only 2 weeks extra delay if the app is rejected.

There are certainly a large number of apps with html+css+javascript as
main language in the app store. I myself have 2 in there, though they
are not directly based on phonegap.
But there are also many PhoneGap apps in the app store.
So it is definately not a roll of the dice. That was a year ago when
Apple thought that PhoneGap had very ambitious plans that conflicted
with their API's.

Jan,

I was specifically speaking of the app stores review process in
"general" as being a roll of the dice. Not because of phonegap,
perhaps I should have been more clear. I just recently had an app
rejected because the name of the app on the device was VERY slightly
different then the name that was entered into itunes connect. (by 3
letters which was an abbreviation). Meanwhile on Version 1 of that
app, it was the same and it was accepted. roll of the dice.

we had our update rejected because apple reckoned they own the copyright in the map icon i used - even though it was the same as our original 1.0 version - resubmitted and got approved this afternoon - ps i didnt remove *any* references to phonegap in new update - even the actual binary file was called phonegap.zip ;)
