Hi,

I am new to mobile development and I'm trying to find the best tools
for my current project. PhoneGap looks interesting, but it looks like
there may be an obstacle to using it for me so I wanted to check with
the community in case I'm wrong. The problem is that I need to
integrate a barcode scanning SDK such as RedLaser's or ShopSavvy's
into my app and it doesn't look like I'd be able to do that with
PhoneGap since both SDKs are for Objective-C.

If there's a workaround that I could use, I'd love to know. Thanks a
lot!

Alex

Yes, you can integrate native 3rd party code by writing a plugin and there is already one for barcode scanning.

Awesome, thanks a lot. This definitely makes PhoneGap more appealing
to use for my application.
