This report lists all of the special pricing offers for all available qualities based on the owned and cataloged content on this system.
It also includes a list of content that is not yet available in our store.
You can replace your cataloged and imported content with downloadable versions available* in the Kaleidescape Movie Store.
Replacing these movies with downloaded versions has these advantages:
Once you upgrade your disc to a disc-free digital version, your system will no longer require the disc. Up to 4K quality (requires Strato for playback, see your dealer for upgrade options.) Movies and TV shows can be easily downloaded onto up to five of your Kaleidescape systems. Disc-to-digital discounts exist for upgrading cataloged and imported discs.
The Disc to Digital report lists all cataloged and imported content across all of your systems, including a detailed list of upgrade prices* and storage requirements. It also includes some suggested hardware purchase options.
*Only movies available for purchase on the Kaleidescape Movie Store can be upgraded.
To purchase a Disney title on the Kaleidescape Movie Store for your Premiere or Cinema One system, you must first accept the Disney Content Amendment to the Kaleidescape Service and License Agreement.
If you accept the Amendment, your system will no longer be able to import Disney titles from DVD or Blu-ray discs, although discs you have already imported are unaffected and remain playable. Full details appear in the Amendment below.
The Kaleidescape Exhibition Movie Service supports the exhibition of movies at licensed establishments using Kaleidescape Strato systems. Selected movies are downloaded onto Kaleidescape Terra Movie Servers, then transmitted securely over the local network to Kaleidescape Strato players. As movies are played back, reports are automatically generated and shared both with the exhibitor and the studio to enable proper accounting.
To ensure the exhibition system is activated as an exhibitor account, the email address used for activation must already be associated with your company on the Kaleidescape Exhibition Movie Service. Contact your administrator or Kaleidescape account representative to confirm if the email you are using to activate is associated with your company account.
A download speed limit can be set on the Downloads page. A download schedule may be configured, to choose what time of day for downloads to proceed. You can also pause downloads temporarily and resume them at a later time.
A bandwidth cap limits the amount of data that you can transfer over a specified period of time. Bandwidth caps are determined by your Internet Service Provider (ISP), and can often be increased. Contact your ISP for more information.
A new version of a movie you have downloaded is now available. The new version can be downloaded at no charge, replacing the version that is already on your system. An updated movie may contain additional content such as audio tracks, subtitles, and extras, or enhancements to the existing audio and video content. When you tap or click on Update Available, you will see a detailed description of what has changed.
A movie that you can update will have an "Update Available" section on its detail sheet. You can view all of your movies with updates by selecting "Movie Updates" under the "Manage" tab on the movie store website.
Your download cannot be played because it requires authorization. This usually means the movie is no longer licensed by the studio for exhibition playback on your devices. If you believe this is not the case, please ensure that your system is connected to the Internet and (optionally) restart your system. The authorization if available should be automatically transferred to your system within minutes.
This means that your Terra server appears to be offline and may be powered off. An active internet connection is required to download movies and maintain playback authorization. Ensure that your Terra server is powered on and is connected to the internet.
Servers that you plan to decommission, sell, or replace should be removed from your system. A server may be removed, if it is online, by navigating to the system's browser interface, finding the server on the Components tab, and pressing the Remove from system button.
The Kaleidescape Marine Movie Service supports yacht installations of Kaleidescape Strato systems. Purchased titles are factory downloaded onto the Strato system, and additional content can be purchased from the Marine Movie Store for delivery to the yacht on portable hard drives; the movies are then transferred to the secure storage of the Kaleidescape system.
If you already have a Kaleidescape Premiere system on your yacht, you can add a Kaleidescape Strato system to use the Marine Movie Service. The Premiere system is then dedicated to disc content and the Strato system is used for movies purchased from the Kaleidescape Marine Movie Store. If the players are paired using Kaleidescape Co-Star switches, then you can see and play all your movies in each playback zone.
When you order more movies from the Marine Movie Service for an existing system, the movies are delivered on one or more portable hard drives. Once you receive these hard drives, you connect them to your Kaleidescape system using a USB cable. There is an initial period during which the Kaleidescape system must be connected to the Internet in order to receive data, delivery instructions, and authorizations for the movies. After that data exchange is complete, the Kaleidescape system may be disconnected from the Internet while the movies are transferred from the hard drive(s) to the Kaleidescape system.
Yes, this is an efficient way to populate a Kaleidescape system with movies. When you place the order for the system, you provide the email address for the movie store account. The system will be set up in our loading facility, and you will receive an email with instructions for registering the system. After that, you can visit the Marine Movie Store to select the movies to be preloaded onto your system before it is shipped.
Each delivery disk currently holds 30 to 80 movies depending on the movie sizes and the qualities being delivered. We may increase the size of these disks in the future. A delivery can span multiple delivery disks, so a very large number of movies can be shipped in one delivery.
Kaleidescape has license agreements with all the major Hollywood studios and has a large library of new releases as well as classic and catalog titles. We offer the best selection of movies available in 4K HDR and 4K Ultra HD available anywhere.
When your Kaleidescape system is ordered, your marine integrator will tell us which movie qualities are supported by the displays and projectors installed with your system. We will deliver the 4K qualities that match those capabilities. In addition, we will also deliver the Blu-ray Quality movie because these versions often support additional language sound tracks, subtitle tracks, and often come with other special features. The DVD Quality movie will only be delivered if it is the only quality available, which is the case for some older titles.
There is a delivery fee for loading and delivering movies on USB hard drives. When ordering a Marine Movie Service delivery, the fee is shown at the top of the page along with the cost of the movies.
Your movie cannot be played because it requires authorization from Kaleidescape. Please ensure that your system is connected to the Internet and (optionally) restart your system. The authorization should be automatically transferred to your system within minutes, after which the connection to the Internet is no longer required.
The Kaleidescape Movie Store is for the exclusive use of owners of Kaleidescape Systems. If you already own a Kaleidescape System and are located in a country where the movie store is available, you will need to activate your system.
Any Kaleidescape System can download from the Kaleidescape Movie Store. DVD quality downloads from the movie store can be played using any Kaleidescape player. Blu-ray quality downloads from the movie store can only be played using an M-Class player. 4K HDR and 4K Ultra HD downloads from the movie store can only be played using a Kaleidescape Strato.
4K HDR downloads additionally require an HDR-compatible display connected to a Kaleidescape Strato. Many 4K HDR purchases from the movie store allow download of additional qualities for compatibility with non-HDR displays and other Kaleidescape players. What is an M-Class player?
The Kaleidescape Strato, introduced in 2015, is the first product in a new line of players that support 4K HDR and 4K Ultra HD playback, as well as ultra high-definition user interfaces. It is compatible with all downloads from the Kaleidescape Movie Store. An HDR-compatible display connected to a Kaleidescape Strato is required to playback 4K HDR downloads.
Kaleidescape Co-Star allows all Kaleidescape system owners to upgrade to the new Kaleidescape Strato movie player so they can enjoy 4K Ultra HD movies in their homes, while maintaining seamless access to disc-based content stored on a Premiere or Cinema One system.
