We're kicking off our POPHarvestEd workshop series this year with two wonderful workshops led by folks highly involved in supporting POP Community Orchards - come learn, celebrate, and eat with us! See info below and check out our full lineup of
upcoming POP events here.
Join Patti Tahan in the POP Learning Orchard at the Woodlands to learn a favorite family recipe for stuffed grape leaves from Aleppo, Syria. The preparation of picking leaves, and rolling is as much as a tradition and celebration of family as the actual meal. Participants will share in a tasting afterwards.
June 11th, 2-3:30pm
Want to learn about how to preserve the bounty of summer and turn unripe fruit into a tasty delicacy? Join avid fermenter and POP Lead Orchard Volunteer Ella Heron for a workshop on wild fermentation, where we’ll be pickling green plums from POP orchards around the city. Materials will be provided, and participants will leave with their own personal jar of pickles.
Enjoy the harvests!
