GUESS WHAT?

Urban County Committee (COC) Elections are coming up for Philadelphia's Local Administrative Area 3 (LAA) including the West Philadelphia neighborhoods of Cedar Park, Cobbs Creek, Kingsessing, Mill Creek, Powelton Village, Spruce Hill, and West Powelton. It also includes parts of Center City, Northwest Philadelphia, and South Philadelphia as part of the broader 3rd Congressional District! If you grow and/or live in any of these areas, you’re eligible to vote for candidates! 

Pasa Sustainable Agriculture, in partnership with the Farm Service Agency (FSA), is hosting a COC Registration Party! Please join us for an end-of-year celebration with in-person COC registration! 

There will be delicious refreshments and opportunities to connect with fellow growers as we close the year out on an amazing season!

Elected COC members advise and influence the policies and programs of FSA (Farm Service Agency), so make sure your vote counts! 

Some key roles and responsibilities for Elected COC Members: 

• COC Members ensure underserved farmers and ranchers are fairly represented
  
• Helps hire and supervise the County Executive Director
  
• Critical components of the day-to-day operations of FSA
  
• COC Members make decisions on conservation programs and incentive program payments
