Philly Orchardists,
Warm weather has arrived!
It’s now safe to unwrap your figs, pomegranates, and other less hardy plants from their winter protection.WINTER DIEBACK? Despite the snow, we really didn't get a lot of extreme cold this past winter. We are not expecting much in terms of winter dieback, even on unprotected figs, in Philly this year. If any part of your fig does fail to leaf out later in the spring, feel free to prune it out.
Happy spring!
