See email below for info about TreePhilly's spring yard tree giveaway program, which includes some great fruit tree options including pear, pomegranate, persimmon, and fig!  Note this program is for residents of Philadelphia only and for planting in ground in yards only (no street trees or container plantings).  

TreePhilly is also looking for volunteers to help with the giveaways.  See below for more info!
