Hello Phil and Kim,

I’m a retired USDA Research Leader and past chairman of the Philadelphia Society for Promoting Agriculture and a volunteer at Lundale Farm in Pottstown, PA.  We have a 520-acre non-profit farm and we rent land to new farmers who want to start their businesses.  All our farmers are organic or organic-like in their farming practices.  One of our farmers has created a beautiful orchard (French Creek Organic Orchard) containing old style and modern apples that he is growing for making cider.  The orchard is about 10 acres and beautifully maintained using organic methods.  The farmer had planned on passing the orchard down to his son and his family, but the son decided that he did not want to run the orchard.   Thus, the lease of the farm is now up for sale and at a very reasonable price.  A new owner would not have to buy any land, just pay the lease payments and agree on a one-time payment to the farmer.  If you know of anyone who might be interested, please have them contact our Executive Director, Becki Patterson, at 484-925-4488; .

Feel free to pass this on to anyone who may be interested.
