Hey everyone. We've really been getting a lot of new members recently. A number of people have mentioned they would like a forums as a better place to help build a community and we listened. So, on Mar 1 don't be surprised when forums.taulabs.org directs to a new site :)

I realise that I have been arguing for this for a long time but learn't my lesson when Odasys went offline, yes, yes, I got fooled twice. How are we planning to make sure no one can do this to the new forums?

Well Odasys was never associated organized by Tau Labs. It was organized by another party who wanted to help Tau Labs but it was always in a strange position. This forums was agreed on by the board during the end of last year meeting so has the backing of Tau Labs.

As to whether that will persist for eternity ... well the only certainties are death and taxes.

Good point. The wiki is staying the same which is something that allows anyone to fork it etc. In terms of publicly backing up the forums so anyone could clone them we talked about it but I don't know if we resolved there was a way to do it that would be secure too.
