update
Ana thanks for all of your good work.
I think we should be able to finish off any more of the financials on our own.
Reminder: we should complete our respectivve sections by class time on Wednesday.
Update
Sorry for the late update. I've had a crazy holiday weekend with moving out of my apartment/research deadlines etc. We have some interesting new data from the FLIM imaging from my brother. He hasn't sent me the pictures electronically yet but these images are similar to the results we have seen previously Nerves appear significantly less fluorescent than most surrounding tissue. As a next step we should investigate the use of nerve specific dyes so we can get a good comparison for what we see in FLIM when we know exactly where the nerves are in the tissues that the nerves are not large and obvious (especially true of prostate tissue). Once we have the nerve specific dyes we should complete an exhaustive study of the flourescent spectrum of the nerves in rat prostate from over all possible wavelengths (about 300-500nm). This should be interesting for many reasons. If we find an interesting peak or valley it may prove critical in commercializing a FLIM product targeted at this wavelength but at the very least this kind of a study should result in a very nice research paper. Anyway when I get the pictures I will be sure to pass them along.
Good luck with your individual sections and please let me know if you have any problems or questions.
Best,
