Description:  The Healthcare Business Association will be hosting a special speaker lunch with invited guest Dr. Molly Coye, Chief Innovation Officer, Institute for Innovation in Health, UCLA Health System. 

 Come listen to Dr. Coye talk about how innovation is improving the value of locally and globally delivered healthcare.

 Dr. Molly Joel Coye is the Chief Innovation Officer of the UCLA Health System, and an internationally recognized leader in advancing innovative approaches to healthcare delivery and in national and state health policy.  She has served as Commissioner of Health for the State of New Jersey, Director of the California Department of Health Services, and Head of the Division of Public Health Practice at the Johns Hopkins School of Hygiene and Public Health. After leaving public service, Dr. Coye led a large medical group and IPA in Santa Clara, directed product development at an early Internet disease management company, and advised venture investors in health technology. 

 Dr. Coye has a stellar record of achievement as a pioneer in the development, assessment and diffusion of health-related technology.  She founded and served as CEO of the Health Technology Center (HealthTech), a nonprofit education and research organization which became the premier forecasting institution for emerging technologies in health care.  Dr. Coye also co-founded and served as Chair of the Board of Directors and then CEO of CalRHIO, California's first statewide health information exchange organization.  She came to UCLA from the Public Health Institute in Oakland, California, where she chaired the Advisory Board for the Center for Technology and Aging and advised domestic and international programs regarding innovation and technology.

 In recognition of her distinguished professional contributions, Dr. Coye has also received many other honors and awards, including the Information Technology Innovator Award from HealthCare Informatics, and frequent recognition by Modern Healthcare as one of the 25 Most Influential Women in Healthcare, 50 most Influential Physicians in Healthcare, and 100 Most Influential Leaders in Healthcare.
