My team and I have been working on this game during our spare time for the past 3 months.

I just wanted to share the link to our current version so you guys can test drive it. Feedback, issue tickets, and pull requests are all welcome.

Hi Maximo,

I've attended the javascript workshops and am good friends with Brandon Mason. I've been thinking about a project that would help me get into learning javascript and think I finally have an idea. I think it would tie into what you are doing with Math Beast. What I want ot create is a game that teaches anyone how to use math for astrodynamics. A person could learn how to launch a spacecraft towards the moon and get a free-return trajectory. They could also learn the formulas they need to plot courses to distant stars with theoretical propulsion systems. I have a number of really detailed resources to draw from and ideas about how to create a game that will really draw people in.

I'd love to talk with your team about this.
Let me know if you're interested.

A story that might be interesting to explore:

You crash land on a planet.  Your ship is completely destroyed.  You manage to salvage a power source and your cryo-pod.  Exploring, you find a tribe of primitive aliens.  They are peaceful, and share their food.  You communicate with gestures and drawings in the dirt.

Suddenly a plan comes to you.  You can teach them, guide them on the path of becoming a space faring species.  Your cryo-pod should allow you to pause your life while you wait for their civilization to grow.

So you begin.  You first teach them the concepts of basic math.  Seeing that they have understood, you go back to your cryo pod, and give them instructions to wake you in 50 years.  Emerging from your pod, you see a changed landscape.  The mud huts are now stone, a well has been dug, and there are fields planted nearby.

You engage in your next lesson.  Through each phase of mathematics, you see the civilization advance around you.  You see viscerally how the knowledge of the society enables it to accomplish great things.  The game culminates in the emergence of a space faring civilization, which with your help constructs a new spacecraft.  Along with an alien crew, you embark on your new mission to return to Earth and forge an alliance with this newly discovered alien civilization.
