- Don't call it a comeback... [1 Update]

Wanted to touch base with everyone about the status of the group. As you
(hopefully) noticed, we haven't had a regular monthly meeting since the
summer started.
We are planning on switching the group to a quarterly schedule vs. a
monthly one. While we were getting a few 'regulars' every month, the
attendance was dwindling, and it is difficult to organize a quality meeting
every single month.
We are going to have a theme for each 'Season', and plan that meeting
around that theme. Our goal is to create a technology agnostic event,
concentrating around that theme.
The events we are planning (which can change based on your feedback):
'Tools' (Oct 19, 2013) - Special Saturday event. We are coordinating with
Google to hold a local 'DevFest'. This will be a longer event (morning
into early afternoon). Details for this will be coming in a different
email.
'Location' (Jan 15, 2014)
'Games' (Apr 16, 2014)
'Design' (July 16, 2013)
Some other suggestions for a 'Season Topic' have included: 'Hardware' or
'Business'. Is there a general topic you think would be worth focusing
on? Let us know.
We hope everyone is enjoying their summer. We know it will be a long time
between events, but think the 'Southwest DevFest' should be worth the wait,
and that a less frequent schedule will be better for the group in general.
