Star Party Saturday June 25th from 7pm (Rain or Shine):

Please don't arrive any earlier as the Alban Arthan event will still
be going on.

The realm of the galaxies is upon us in the form of the constellations
of Leo and Virgo. We’ll start the evening with dinner before opening
the observatory to take a close up look at the constellations and
galaxies of autumn.
We‘ll be playing a late night movie from 10pm to keep entertained
those people too tired or cold to observe. If the weather‘s rubbish
we‘ll start it a bit earlier.

6:00 pm Dinner - Gladstone Pub
7:30 pm Tour through Leo and Virgo (live planetarium)
8:00 pm Observing: Leo and Virgo
10:00 pm Movie

Anyone entering the Ahiaruie Observatory site (Stonehenge Carterton)
outside of the regular Phoenix meeting and Star Party hours must
contact the land owner Richard Hall on 027 230 5191 for safety
reasons. Being a rural area there have been thefts, and any suspicious
activity could result in the police being called or confrontation with
a neighbour.
