My name is Mike, I am new to UAS, just started.

I live in Scottsdale, fly (or attempt to fly) in North Phoenix.

I'm very interested in speaking with or getting together with other
UAS guys in the Phoenix area...

AZMav,

Sorry I missed the event, I was busy this weekend, no opportunity to
fly.

I'll be heading out to Reach11 this weekend to try try again... I'm
feeling very confident that I won't reduce the airplane to garbage...
I hope.

I used to live at 16th St and Union Hills, across from the High
School... not far at all from there. I'm further to the east at Shea
and Via Linda now, but not too far.

Hey guys,
I'm also new to this but very excited to get into it, after reading the article in the latest WIRED magazine. I've ordered an Arducopter Hexa and RC controller. As I start to study what it takes, I could really use a tutor to walk me through the basics of using the mission planner as well as the basics of integrating RC control, autopilot, and the mission planner.  I would be happy to pay for someones time to give training.  I'm trying to move along the learning curve quickly.  I live in Ahwatukee near the South Mountain preserve.

Cheers, and thanks for any help or advice you can give. -Paul

Paul,
i am interested in a similar project.

What is the update on your copter and first impressions of the product and the learing curve?  maybe this should be a new thread?

thanks,
Mike-

Well, first impressions are: this thing needs a better consolidated manual! But I'm making good progress.  I probably should have bought the RC controller with it to have them pre-program it...but I'm making progress and confidence is building.

Thanks, Paul Sawyer

Hello, I live at Tatum and Jomax and I too am new. I have been doing some test flights at a park next to my home but would really like to hang out with someone in the hobby. It would be nice to get a group going that could meetup
