Dear all,

[After some hesitancy, I decided to write to the coordination group rather than the entire PHM Europe mailing list, as it's a matter that requires some proactivity and I hope that country contacts can be responsible for disseminating it further in their networks. However, Ana, feel free to also distribute it in the wider list in order to enhance greater engagement. Also, I don't know what you prefer to do: organise a meeting for collective discussion, and/or rely on email exchanges, or both! It's up to you, and I'm of course available for any support and participation. Thank you!]

As programme subcommittee we are excited (and a bit scared!) to circulate a draft of the PHA5 programme for broad consultation. It is based on the first round of consultation that all regions, thematic circles, and affiliated organisations contributed to before the summer. We have worked to consolidate the suggestions and arrange the proposed themes in the agreed programme structure, as plenaries and subplenaries session. 

You can see our work in two different formats (the content is the same and both are available in EN, ES, FR):

• shared whiteboard (Miro board): this is helpful for highlighting all the connections between the axes and the sessions; you can interact with the board by adding comments with your inputs; detailed instructions on how to use the board are visible, in the three languages, on the text note at the right of the screen;
• attached excel sheet: with the same content of the board but not as many details about connections; look for the page with your preferred language and add your comments and suggestions (either in track changes mode or using a different color), then resend it to chi...@phmovement.org

We encourage you to try with the Miro board (more creative and fun!), but if you find it not so friendly please feel free to revert to the more traditional excel sheet! 😊

We will collect inputs for the coming two weeks, until November 5th. Please let us know if you need any assistance, our aim is to hear from as many regions, thematic circles, organizations, groups, and individuals as possible. We are particularly interested in collective discussions on the program draft as we believe they can really help to strengthen it. 

Finally, a few priorities that we perceive from our observation point:

- we particularly need further development of the war and conflict axis

- it would be important to gather inputs for the ancestral knowledges axis from beyond Latin America, as currently it mainly reflects the visions from that region

- we need contributions and suggestions for speakers and experiences to be invited

- we still have to sort out the order of the themes across the days, and several methodological issues: it would be good to receive feedbacks on these aspects!
