Hello
I hope to find you well. I’m writing to share an upcoming Medact event that I hope will be of interest!
On Tuesday April 5th at 7PM, we’re launching three new economic justice and health booklets at A People’s Economy: the fight for health and economic justice.
These booklets explore the key campaigning areas of secure housing, tax justice and liveable incomes from a public health perspective, and provide an informative resource for those looking to fight against economic and health injustice.
We’ll hear from a great line-up of speakers on the issues covered by the booklets:
Guppi Bola, strategist, organiser and co-founder of Decolonising Economics and author of “Reimagining Public Health”.
Abigail Acheampong, cleaner at Royal London Hospital. UNITE representative and key leader in the campaign that ended outsourcing in England’s biggest NHS trust.
Representatives from Housing Action Southwark and Lambeth.
Calum Barnes, junior doctor in South London and member of the Economic Justice Group who will speak about recent welfare cuts and their health impacts.
The event will be held on Zoom and is free. Register here: link.medact.org/APeoplesEconomyLaunch
You can view & download the booklets here.
We want to reach as many potential attendees as possible so would be very grateful for any promotion you’re able to do!
