configuration file -the search field

Can you please explain me what I should write in the search field and in what format?

In the article from 2009 it says that it is optional, but when I leave it empty I get a segmentation fault.

I understand that I have to fill it with descriptions for a broad term search. The configuration file says that if I have several genes I should separate them with spaces and commas.

My questions are:

1. Should I add a description for each gene which appears in the .keep file?

2. What if a term contains spaces (i.e the name of the gene is not a single word)?
