Hello all,

Has anyone implemented one of the existing cakephp LDAP components successfully? For example, https://github.com/jvalecillos/cakephp-yalp?

I've reviewed the installation instructions for YALP (https://github.com/jvalecillos/cakephp-yalp) and while it was written for cakephp, it will not be simple to implement in phKapa. Additionally, it does not appear to use the formal plugin methodology of cakephp, which means it's a rather intrusive (messy) installation.

Question: Let's say I found time to do the work, would having a true LDAP plugin/feature for phKapa be useful to anyone else? As a user story, I'd say, "As an administrator, I want to be able to authenticate users against manually created accounts and passwords, authenticate against an LDAP server, or use a combination of both methods."

Thoughts?

Useful is always useful, even more useful if we can use it on any Cake Project :)

There are also some solutions based only on model/datasources

We are using a solution based on it , and it's working ok.

Nothing yet, although I did get what I think is a better starting point than the one below. I've been on vacation so I'll try to get to this in the next week.
