I assume this is what's going on and doesn't have anything to do with solus but I can be mistaken but I've already looked through a few posts here regarding "super key not working" and I came to the conclusion that this is a keyboard issue and doesn't have anything to do with solus.

Also, I've ran gsettings list-recursively org.gnome.desktop.wm.keybindings grep '' and tried some combinations just to see if they work, for example Space doesn't work, it just gives a space. That's why I concluded that this is a keyboard issue.

Edit: wait hold the phone. I've ran it now and I get this output:
Edit 2: now that I know that I have an output when using xev; I've ran xmodmap -e "keycode 133 = Super_L" and it indeed fixes the issue. Strange, I thought it had something to do with winlock. Can someone explain why, when, how this happened and if there is a better solution that to run this command every time?

Maybe it would be useful to find out first if the super key is recognized correctly.
According to the product description you can lock the super key with Super+Fn to play.
Since the Fn key is only an internal switch in the keyboard and has nothing to do with the operating system, it can only be the Windows key.

Please show the output of
lcalectl
and if you installed xev with sudo eopkg it xev
Enter xev and Enter. A window appears that you can ignore. Then press Windows key and show the output from the terminal here too. Just close the window.

Under Budgie just put the command sh -c 'xmodmap -e "keycode 133 = Super_L"' into the graphical autostart.
Raven>below left on the gear>Autostart>on the plus sign and "Add Command
With other desktops, someone else has to help.
