I'm making progress. What I am doing is after testing an area or package if I don't see a problem I move on. If I see something is mentioned I don't look at it as it's being addressed. Other then the LibreOffice download I have as yet nothing to talk about. If you need anything else, let me know.

The most important this is to test all the standard applications that come with Phinx i think. Also how the system and Xfce desktop performs overall. Any quirks and bugs found can be reported here.
The issue related to the download time of LO isn't a Phinx specific problem. :)
