Imgetting artifacts in WWE 2k23 with my 7900xtx with recent drivers. Images below. It was the same for WWE 2k22. Just thought Id report this to you guys. Cause the game is unplayable for me in this state and Im hoping you guys can fix this.
Literally just play the game (doesn't happen in menus) - example: do a quick match One on One choose any character - watch an entrance you'll see artifacts mostly in the top left or right areas. If you are in a match look towards the crowd or like if you hit a move that looks at the ceiling its pretty quick.
Steps to reproduce: I got artifacting on created arenas, "vintage" arenas. If I selected a normal current arena, I didn't see any artifacting. Only created and arenas which used film grain. And from what I gathered last year, it appears to be an AMD GPU issue only. A friend has a competitor GPU and we didn't experience the artifacting on their GPU using my setup. Hope this helps.
I am having the soulless black eyes issue with my CAWs. It only happens during entrances and other cut scenes. I did notice it on NPCs during MyRise when involved in conversations. I read on Reddit that it had something to do with only AMD processors and a fix was to remove the eyelashes. I did that and it worked to a certain extent, but I have a lot of CAWs and I am not going to go back and do that for all of them. You would also have to do the eyelash thing for those you download from Community Creations. It does work but it is a ridiculous hassle. I had no issues whatsoever with 2K22.
Hey Rocky,
Thanks for your understanding!
Please be reminded that the appropriate team has been notified of the issue. However, we do not have visibility on their progress, and therefore don't have a timeline on when a fix will be implemented.
Rest assured that your issue will be handled regardless of the status of this ticket, as your information rests in their hands. I understand that a quick resolution would be optimal but I'm unable to provide that at this time.
If you have any other questions or in need of further explanation, please let me know!
Kind regards,
Yesterday I reinstalled WWE2k22 and I have problems with the artifacts there too. So something in their engine and the RX 7900 XTX is probably really broken, the question is whether it's AMD, 2k or both, the relevant parties should work together on this, because if a problem wasn't fixed in the previous game and in the The successor, which has been out for more than 3 months, is not fixed, something can be wrong and should be tackled
I previously had another AMD card in the same computer because I didn't have the artefacts, when it broke I installed my old Geforce 2600 Super, no problems there either. Then the RX 7900 XTX arrived, I installed it and I've had the artefact issues ever since.
In addition, it often takes a long time when I make changes to the squad or friends/opponents of the wrestlers in the game on MyUniverse, it takes forever to save and sometimes I have a black screen, can you confirm that for you too?
In NBA2k23 the game crashes when I want to visit the promenade at the silver deck. There, however, a post on steam helped me that if I turn off the shadows, I can then enter the area, which is actually the case.
The amount of improvements between WWE 2K23 and WWE 2K24 was substantial enough that it made the game feel and look a lot better. Review scores and even talk on social media are proof of that, but of course, the game is far from perfect. Players have been voicing their problems and concerns to 2K with every entry, but yet, many of those same problems remain while new ones arise.
2K has a page on their website where players can submit tickets for the many bugs that have been found in WWE 2K24, but keeping up with those has seemingly been an issue for 2K as many glitches from day one still have yet to be fixed. So as a push to get 2K to notice what players are saying, here are just a few things that they should fix before releasing another WWE video game.
This is not so much a problem with 2K, but more of a problem with certain players. The community creations feature is easily one of the best included in the WWE series. It grants players new characters, arenas, championships, and more that might not have been featured in the game or simply never will.
Now, the seemingly endless number of pages to scroll through can be a risk, as some players have decided to post customized "nude" models of existing wrestlers. This is ridiculous and wouldn't be surprising to hear that 2K have thought about removing the feature as this continues to be a problem. 2K could do a better job at filtering these posts and banning the users that do it.
This is a pretty broad umbrella for the many issues animations are having in WWE 2K24. One noticeable new one came with the way that smaller wrestlers like Rey Mysterio or Roxanne Perez run the ropes, they will hit the middle rope and bounce off, which causes a much smaller window to react with a grapple or strike compared to superstars that do hit the middle rope.
Also, many of the wrestlers in the game do not have accurate movesets. For example, Rhea Ripley doesn't perform the Riptide the same way she does on screen as she has said herself she doesn't like landing on his backside, but 2K continues to animate it that way. Names like WolfpacSets and iBudsMovesets have been wonders on the 2K Community Creations page for fixing these inaccurate movesets.
Not going into spoilers for either mode, but most players can agree that the Unleashed storyline was a lot more intriguing and fun compared to Undisputed. With that being said, 2K can benefit from giving both storylines more attention and making them more out there and not just a typical professional wrestling storyline.
On another note, some players have said they don't love that you are forced to win all the time and only lose during cutscenes. Make wins and losses matter and possibly branch off to new storylines or scenarios. Something like bringing back Season mode could do wonders as it would give players more variety and replay value.
For many players, Universe mode is the reason they keep buying the games and play them long after they have completed other modes like MyRise and Showcase. Pretty much ever since 2K has taken control of the series, the mode has received very minor updates and never seems to be a focus for the team.
2K24's attempt at it has been particularly the worst. Glitches have riddled the mode nonstop and made many players drop the mode for once. 2K needs to look at what fans are saying online because this mode has become a shell of its former self.
It is commonplace for a video game to suffer a few issues here and there with online connectivity. 2K, on the other hand, seems to take that a step further, as they seemingly have been suffering from poor servers since WWE 2K23 and haven't done a thing to fix it.
This causes players to not connect to a match online, get disconnected mid-match, and even get kicked out of the Community Creations while attempting to download something. These issues can also be found in other 2K titles like the NBA series, so it is a shocker that the team hasn't fixed this yet.
This has been a practice long before 2K took over the series, but having certain wrestlers like CM Punk, Jade Cargill, and Diamond Dallas Page behind a paywall is a bit ridiculous. This is apparent when you start to see DLCs like the Pat McAfee pack that includes McAfee and his friends, and no actual wrestlers.
This also looks worse when things like the WrestleMania 40 arena could have been added to the game for free, but are instead locked behind the 40 Years of WrestleMania pack. Imagine a world where you pay $60-$70 for a game and don't have to drop another $20-$40 to get the complete experience. EA has one thing going for their UFC series, and that is the fact they update the roster for free. 2K does this themselves with the NBA franchise. What is stopping them from doing it for WWE?
Ever since its introduction in WWE 2K22, MyFaction has been the most hated mode in the 2K series, but it makes money, so it will continue to be added and focused on compared to other modes. This year has been a particular grind even for players who do enjoy MyFaction.
Everything in the store costs a ludicrous amount, while pay-outs from Faction Wars, Weekly Towers, and Live Events are the smallest they have been. Add that to the small chance players will even get a good card from a pack once they can afford it, this mode has become unplayable unless you are willing to pay real money. Even with that in mind, a single deluxe pack can typically cost around $10.
