Ismooth that paper into place, then use more push pins to hold it to the ceiling, climb down, move the ladder, climb back up, unbook one or two of the accordion folds of wallpaper, smooth it into place, tack it to the ceiling, climb off the ladder, move it, and repeat.

This is my preference. I actually use two different policies. I have a Computer policy that copies a file from a shared directory to the local drive and renames it. Then I have a user policy that sets the wallpaper. The reason I do this is so that when I get a new wallpaper from our marketing department I just update the computer policy to copy the new file.

I agree with Anthony I always create a script myself to copy the file to the hard drive of the client computer then in GPO I point the wallpaper to that location. I think everyone here have given you the proper answer to your question let us know how it worked for you and which way you did it.

It's a cheeky nod to all you calisthenics lovers out there who know that diamonds are not just a girl's best friend, but also a muscle's. Because why settle for regular push-ups when you can sparkle with diamond ones?

After using a computer over and over again, the look becomes stale and the owner looks for avenues to spice up the Pc again. Although there are many themes available that can be installed to create stunning background environment for a desktop, this application takes customization further with innovations. Push Video Wallpaper enables a computer user to play video animations as background on a desktop computer.

This application supports various type of video amination for desktop backgrounds such as animated GIF, video files such as AVI, MP4 and many others. The application also reverts to an animated screensaver that plays random images or a video when your computer is not in use.

With this program, you can create a playlist from your favorite video clips or wallpaper images and have them play in the background of your computer desktop. Also it supports the flexibility of setting the image/video rotation intervals, for the video to the screen, crop or stretch on the desktop.

It is part from enhancements category and is licensed as shareware for Windows 32-bit and 64-bit platform and can be used as a free trial until the trial period will end. The Push Video Wallpaper demo is available to all software users as a free download with potential restrictions compared with the full version.

With Push Video Wallpaper you can greatly enhance your desktop by playing videos and gif animations as background wallpaper. It's similar to the dreamscene feature of Windows Vista Ultimate. But with PUSH Video Wallpaper, you can have the dreamscene effect for any version of Windows 10, Windows 8/8.1 and Windows 7. You can create playlists of your favorite videos. It's also a video screensaver which will show your favorite videos when your computer is not used.

As an admin, you can use the Google Admin console to set custom wallpapers for managed users and ChromeOS devices on the sign-in screen. You can choose to display logos, artwork, announcements, or even lunch menus.

When you set a custom wallpaper, users see your image every time they start their ChromeOS device and whenever they return to the desktop. They cannot set their own wallpaper or choose from any of the wallpaper options built into ChromeOS.

So we're trying to role out a company wide desktop background. The only problem is we have a few different resolutions running on the network. I've narrowed it down to having two files - a widescreen one and a normal one but I cant see a way to deploy this. Deploying it per usergroup wont work as we have different resolutions there too. Any of you guys come across this before? I'm assuming there must be a script somewhere but i wouldn't know how to check the current resolution etc.

Have you any idea of where i can find some documentation on what would need to be included in that script? I would prefer that option as it would be automatic for new machines and not require a new OU.

The real issue that i'm facing is we have 4 images at dif resolutions, i can push out via GPO but the images look streached or messed up...i'm hoping running this script will help me in this situation.

Been a while since I did programming like this and I didn't do much VB(any) but I don't think you can do if/else like that, then you have to nest them. So for multiple resolution you would instead use another function with multiple cases, or you could use nested if's.

I tried rolling out a static wallpaper to all my users a while ago through GPO and locked down the Display applet so it couldn't be modified only to find that you could still from within IE set a different wallpaper and override the one specified within the GPO. Annoyingly so did my users, not that it was a big deal. Shortly after we abandoned the idea of using a static wallpaper and allowed the to choose their own.

Hi everyone, I am trying to push an image to all Azure joined PCs from Intune. I have the policy set, but keep getting errors. The path is correct C:\folder\image.jpg. I used the Settings Catalog in the configuration profiles when I created it. These are all Windows 10 systems. I get an error of 65000. But nothing in the event log shows where this particular one is failing. Has anyone else had any luck doing this? I also tried Administrative Templates route and it didn't work at all. Thanks!

If you are asked to deploy to a specific wallpaper in your organization, then group policy will be one of your choice. Note that there are many other ways to deploy wallpaper. In this post we will see the easiest way to configure desktop wallpaper using group policy.

To brief you about group policy, Group Policy is an infrastructure that allows you to specify managed configurations for users and computers through Group Policy settings and Group Policy Preferences. To configure Group Policy settings that affect only a local computer or user, you can use the Local Group Policy Editor.

You can manage Group Policy settings and Group Policy Preferences in an Active Directory Domain Services environment through the Group Policy Management Console (GPMC). However note that Group Policy management tools also are included in the Remote Server Administration Tools pack to provide a way for you to administer Group Policy settings from your desktop.

Open the Group Policy Management Console. In the Group Policy Management Console, right click on the domain and click Create a GPO in this domain and link it here. You can also create a group policy object and later use the option Link an existing GPO.

To link an existing GPO, right-click the domain or OU within the domain, and then click Link an Existing GPO. Provide a name to the GPO, once the GPO is created, right click on the GPO and click Edit. This will open the Group Policy Management Editor.

To enable this setting click Enabled. The wallpaper name should be set to either local path of the image or it can be UNC path. Set the wallpaper style as Fill. This will work best with most screen resolutions. Click Apply and OK.

You need to apply this group policy to the user group. Note that this policy is applicable only to domain users. If you are looking to apply the same policy to computers then you should make use of Loopback processing of Group Policy

On the client machine wait for the policy to get updated. The users may have to log off and login once to see the changed desktop wallpaper. In the below screenshot we see that desktop wallpaper policy settings have been successfully applied.

My wallpaper policy is working fine in domain network but goes black when gets disconnected from the domain network and my customer wants common wallpaper should be working in cache even they connect from different network

can we set .mp4 wallpaper from regedit or local group policy editor i mean to say without install any third party software by just edting or removing windows defult .jpg file format wallpaper into .mp4 file format wallpaper is their any process of its ???

I have different situation, we set wallpaper through GPO using registry hive. It applied and working fine and allow user to change his desktop background. user able to change background but it policy reapplied when reboot machine.

What I did in this scenario is, I created a seperate GPO to copy the desktop background to a public folder on the local machine and updated the desktop background GPO to that path, instead of directing them to a network folder that they may or may not have access to at certain times. This way every time they log in, the background file is always available to the users.

Hello sir, I have applied the wallpaper group policy in windows server 2016 some of the client machines showing only a black screen. I have run gpupdate/force command on those client machines but still showing a black screen only. kindly give your advice to resolve this issue.
