Hi Julieth,
This may be an issue with file formatting - the Phinch app supports BIOM file formats 1.0 and 2.0 right now. If you look in your JSON file (Biom 1.0) or convert your BIOM 2.0 HDF5 file back to JSON format, your taxonomy strings should look like the box below. Phinch is assuming you have these values comma separated. If not then the App will not separate the taxonomic ranks into levels.
Can you have a look and let me know if that fixes the problem?
