Hi,

I am currently using MOTHUR to create OTU tables of my 16S microbiome sequencing data and I would like to use PHINCH to visualize my results. According to the information I found PHINCH uses .BIOM files created by Qiime. Can someone tell me if it is possible to use MOTHUR created (using the make.biom command) .BIOM files also? Or, is there any conversion possible to convert MOTHUR .BIOM files to PHINCH compatible .BIOM files?

Thanks!
Leo

Hey Leo,

I had the same problem initially, I noticed mothur make.biom creates a file with extension .biom1 if you rename the file extension to .biom it should load.

Hello Rob, How can you rename the file extension from .biom1 to .biom?

Thank you for your help
