since v are new in the free & open source field we do not know any
thing more about free software so v r very much interested to know abt
all the hidden strategies of the software licencing process and in
coll. many donot hav any knowledge of this so every1 wants 2 know more
abt this tngs.

1---so first of all v would lik to hav a brief introductory session of
free software & why we should go for a free software.

2---after that we would lik u to tell us about the differences &
substitutes of the softwares in open source n closed source.

3---we would also lik u to show us some hands on sessions on free &
open softwares.
like..---
installation
---
initial working

since v r also inviting the teaching staff also v would lik to arrange
a separate sessions for them.

before that event on 1st october v would like to conduct a session for
all the staff of the college. i.e for all the teachers belonging to
various departments like commerce, english, hindi, physics, etc..
there they only need the information about the substitutes of the
softwares and working of it. i.e A complete technical session..

and in future we would lik to organise a technical session on every
saturdays or alternative saturdays..

Good to hear that you have taken the initiative. All the best.

Few rules you shoule know before posting to mailing list:

1. Never use short forms ( sms forms ) of languages. eg: v are ( we are ).

2....  Try to be clear in your vision what you are going to plan and then share things in mailing list.

3... ( more coming your way )

keep posting and try to be as transparent as possible. This is the way you learn.

Also try posting a copy of mail to fsmk mailing list ( google the mailing list and join it if you haven't so far ).
Very few from fsmk have joined this mailing list of philoss and probably because it had been silent throughout the year. Nice to see a life into it.

I am not going to make any major comments or suggestions on the plan what shall be done or what can be done unless you send a copy to fsmk mailing list. ( I can do it right now, but I want you to do it. )
Once we have discussion started in there we shall be discussing about the event and how/when/ etc to do it.

Chandan

Yes, that a better idea. I have already sent a mail to our core group and we are discussing about the members who can participate in the event in Philomena. However it will be good if you also send a mail to fsmk-discuss so that others can also guide you.
