Hi PMA Members,

I hope this finds you well! At long last we are now preparing for a “hard reset” of PMA (The International Philosophy of Mathematics Association).

The first step is to run elections of all positions. This includes:

1. 3 Officers: President, Vice President and Treasurer (each officer serving 3 years)

2. 5 Board Members: (2 members serving 3 years, 2 members serving 2 year and 1 member serving one year)

In order to re-establish the staggered terms provided for in the bylaws, the term lengths will be assigned according to the number of votes received:

the two candidates receiving the highest number of votes receive three-year terms;
the next two candidates receive two-year terms;
the fifth candidate receives a one-year term.

At this point I am asking for nominations, including self-nominations for each position. Please be specific about which position you are nominating for. The deadline for receiving nominations will be June 26th.

We plan to use Balotilo for the elections. Elections will open July 6 and close July 13.
