I'm reading this great book called "Over the Edge of the World: Magellan's Terrifying Circumnavigation of the Globe" - and learning all kinds of new stuff I never knew before. Like... did you know that spices were the center of world trade - they were the hottest commodity - like oil is today... I had no idea!

That was GREAT!!! And... you know... that wasn't really much of an exaggeration, either, from what I'm gathering from this book...
