Fellow Battle Pilgrims and friends

Our next Games day is this coming Saturday June 5th. Doors open at 9.00am until whenever everyone feels like going home. I need to know how many people are coming so we can set up the right # and type of tables. So please let me know if you are coming, what gaming system you'll be playing and if you are bringing any friends along no later than Thursday please.

I am sorry that we cannot play tomorrow evening as I've spent the weekend moving house and have too much to organize, but I am looking forward to Sat.

Those of us going to the Kings of War Masters in Texas in mid July will need to settle our lists as they are due very shortly.

Hope to see you Sat
Marcelo

Hey all, Derek and I are going to play some WM Saturday morning (I’ve got a conflict in the afternoon). Any other takers to come out after… 15-ish months to play in person? Marcelo’s location is pretty great!

My wife's school is having their graduation that day.  Wife is going out afterwards.   I'll get to do something next weekend.  My solution is to do the exact same thing next Saturday.

I don't feel like it's a pandemic anymore. Shit's open again. I've had covid and been vaccinated against it.

But now it's time to make up lost time with family and friends. Pushing mans around on a table is in my schedule though... my very fucking busy schedule.

Sounds like most of you guys are playing kings of war though :P

We can change that by having more warmachine players attending. And there are people like me that play both, i always bring armies of both systems

Model agnostic meaning you can use whatever makes sense. Larger format 6x4 tables rank and flank game with blocks of troops.

Has a feel of old warmahmmer fantasy with a more simplified and streamlined rule set

Yo Rob, so Kings of War is a warhammer fantasy-esque rank and flank war game. Mark Howard's dojo has transitioned from WMH to it and generally speaking regionally it's gaining in popularity.
It's model agnostic, meaning as long as you mostly represent the model you can use any range of minis, and the rules are pretty streamlined. Very position and scenario focused like wmh, but much higher model count. It kinda has a focus on units of dudes in the same sort of way that wmh has warjack points, making units unlock things like monsters and heroes.
There's a pretty neat artifact system that let's you customize your forces to make up for their weaknesses or capitalize on their strengths that I find pretty clever.
That being said, like warhammer there is a mild to moderate cinematic focus so you are heavily encouraged to have painted forces.
Hope that helps lol

I appreciate the run down too! Giving me positive flashbacks to playing Warhammer twenty some years ago.  Hmmmm!

If you wanna come, please PM Mark, or tell me and I'll tell Mark if you don't do Facebook. We'd love to have you there Klinger, it's gonna be a great time. Consider everyone in this group formally invited, but I think there is a cutoff of 16 for wmh potentially?
