Saw that. Looks like they made their goal pretty quickly. Seems like this is just advertising. Would have liked to seen more art and rules though.

I think the rules will be up later.

I mentioned this to Rob last Monday, I'm a little concerned about the miniatures based on my experience in Infinity, particularly the modular warjacks (and the troopers if they have varying weapon loadouts).
One of the things Warmahordes has done really well (with a few exceptions) is that from across the table it is very easy to identify what a unit is - stormblades, trenchers, and longgunners all look VERY different, and even Trencher Commandos, Trencher Infantry, and Trencher Longgunners are pretty recognizable with a minimum of practice.

In that scifi game, the difference between a rifle, shotgun, sniper rifle, and machine gun are all VERY relevant, but on a 1" figure from 3 feet away its super hard to tell.

New models they are showing on the stream look cool. Those heavy jacks are beefy.

Other than getting a lot of models up front I don’t see anything exclusive that would make me want to back a game that a game company should be able to make without a Kickstarter. What am I missing?

I believe the KS is more for distribution purposes, rather than funding the game. The models for the KS will be sent out in June or collaborate with their release at LnL.

Yeah, it can be hard to get stores to order privateer press stuff (is any mini company stuff) these days just from how many games there are and how much pressure that puts on distributors. Seems like the Kickstarter is a way to work around that, but it doesn’t seem like a big discount or anything. Probably no big discount to not further disincentive stores who were thinking about stocking it because they saw they are being undercut.

K. So I’m not missing out. I personally need to see more models

I’ll be passing on this myself... for a number of reasons... probably biggest one being I dislike the dystopian sci-fi setting.

If I try the game, love it and everyone is playing it, then I’ll jump on the bandwagon ;)

The rules for Cyphers (spells) and the battle box models are at the bottom of this page:

Anyone interested?

At first I gave the game a hard pass, but I've softened a little. Models look pretty cool, I enjoy joint miniature/card games, and the buy-in isn't too bad.

Have you guys read the rules? I think there are some really sweet mechanics...
