Morning all!
We are 19 days away from Twestival! Melissa & I are very excited
about the event. We have had some great prizes donated and our
participating bars have offered some really great specials.

Here is what we currently need -

Promotion, promotion, promotion! We are 19 days out and have only
sold 6 tickets. To meet our goal of raising $2000 we need to sell at
least 100 tickets. So, please, please start spreading the word to
your networks, tweet, email, Facebook - however you can get the word
out and encourage people to buy tickets would be much appreciated.
(Not to mention reducing my stress level by about 1000%) If anyone
has access to the press and wants to get us some publicity, just let
Melissa or I know and we will get you the press release information.

Prizes - The more prizes we have, the more raffle tickets we can
sell. If you, your company or anyone you know has anything they can
donate as a raffle prize, please let us know. We will include you on
the prize list and promote you/your company as an event sponsor on our
website and at the actual event.

Scavenger Hunt clues/questions - Please send any ideas you have for
scavenger hunt clues/questions and/or answers. If all you have a good
answer, we'll figure out a clue to go with it. Just remember that the
answers have to be tweetable - either a photo they have to tweet back
or something that can be answered in 140 characters. They also have
to be either Twestival or historic Philly centered. The idea is to
send people from location to location within Old City.

If you want to volunteer the day of the event, we need to fill the
following positions -

Raffle ticket sellers

On site coordination at Triumph, National Mechanics & Sugar Moms - 2
people at each location to ensure people who are participating have
wristbands and that they "check-in" at each location

Clue processors - we will need a team of people at National Mechanics
throughout the event to help us process the clues that will be tweeted
in from the Scavenger Hunt teams

Please let us how you want to be involved, whether it is volunteering
or just attending and participating in the Scavenger Hunt. Thanks to
everyone for being a part of the event!

Dito on what Maya said.  In old city there is a ton of historic stuff that could be turned into clues.

Do we need to see tickets on Amiando, or can we sell any in cash?  I am asking because I think the #140conf event on Monday would be a great place to sell tickets - If we need to sell them online, maybe someone can bring their laptop for people to sign up on.

Speaking of that event - anyone want to meet up in center city to travel together?

Judah,

That is a great idea to sell tickets at the #140Conf on Monday.  I am going to be giving a quick talk about Twestival so it would be appropriate.  I will have my laptop with me, so if I can get a couple of volunteers to take care of the ticket sales, that would be awesome. 

I have to go to Manayunk a little early to set up.  I will be taking the 4:07 R6 out of Market East.  Anyone who wants to join me is welcome.
