Good morning everyone
Hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving weekend and are getting ready for the holiday season. I wanted to fire off an email about the next Philly RUG meeting before everyone gets too busy with holiday parties and finishing up deadlines before the New Year.
At our last Philly RUG meeting, we discussed having our next meeting on January 27th. I’ve confirmed with Michael Stern that this date will work, so please mark your calendars. Since this date coincides with the CCP Exhibition of Student Work, Peter Vanko will be giving a short presentation on the work being produced by the CCP design students.
We need to lock down a topic for the next meeting. I was thinking that a recap of Autodesk University 2010 might be a good one for the group (and for those of us who were unable to attend this year). Would anyone who attended like to pull together some pictures, class reviews, etc. for a presentation? I’m thinking that we can do multiple recaps or a collaborative presentation if numerous people attended. Please contact me and we can get it set up.
In addition to this, we need to revisit some suggestions from Craig Barbieri regarding established leadership positions for the Philly RUG. This will help keep the group organized and extend our ability to secure guests for presentations as well as promote the group. Below are the aforementioned suggestions:
· 2 or 3 presentation organizers
· 1 or 2 marketing/outreach folks
· 1 or 2 website/group site managers
As an example, the NY-RUG group has individuals in 10 leadership roles that assist in setting up their monthly meetings. We probably don't need that many, but a few hands helping to steer the ship would be good. Please consider filling one of these positions.
If anyone has questions, please feel free to contact me. Take care, and have a wonderful holiday season.
Thanks,
Jim
I should actually be out on maternity leave then, so I’ll have to miss this one. I hope everyone has a great meeting though!

January 27 from 3:30 to 6 pm in the Mint Building Rotunda. Please plan
to stop by before the Philadelphia Revit Users Group Meeting.
We will be running our introductory Revit course, Digital
Documentation, ADC 163 starting January 18, Tuesdays and Thursdays
from 1-4 pm. Even though they will have only met a few times, I will
be encouraging the students to join us at 6.

Just let me know.

Hi everyone,
Happy New Year! I hope this email finds you well and you’re all having a great start to 2011. The next Philly Revit User Group meeting is almost upon us (Thursday, January 27th at 6PM), so I wanted to get an email out to the group with the agenda.
First and foremost, Philadelphia Community College (our gracious host) is holding the opening reception for their Exhibition of Student Work in the Rotunda of the Mint Building from 3:30-6PM the day or our meeting. I encourage everyone to come out a bit early and check out the exhibition before coming to the meeting.
As previously mentioned, the Philly RUG meeting will be held on Thursday, January 27th at 6PM in room M2-25 of the Mint Building at Philadelphia Community College. Below is the meeting agenda:
6 - 6:30PM - Pizza and refreshments (sponsor TBD)/Peter Vanko to give brief presentation of Student Design work. If you are a reseller and would like to sponsor this meeting, please contact me.
6:30 - 7 Philly RUG Leadership Position discussion. Below are the positions that need to be filled:
· 2 or 3 presentation organizers
· 1 or 2 marketing/outreach folks
· 1 or 2 website/group site managers
7-7:30/7:45 - Matt Stachoni to present Autodesk University overview
Adjourn after presentation
Please let me know if you’ll be attending, spread the word to your colleagues, and consider filling one of the leadership positions. As always, contact me if you have any questions.
Thanks,
I'll try to attend, but it is looking like I will not be able to come this go around.

Hi everyone,

This would be my first event and I would like to attend. Since this would be my first meeting I would like to just observe and get a good understanding on what this event has to offer.
Please let me know what else you would need from me.
Regards,
Martin Figlarz
